Saints went behind to a Ben Harris try but hit back with scores from Francis Meli, Sean Long and Leon Pryce. Shontayne Hape grabbed a try back as Bradford turned around 16-12 down but Saints ran riot after the interval. Meli, Ade Gardner (2) and Keiron Cunningham added further tries and Jamie Lyon hit five goals in all as Hape snatched a Bulls' consolation. The victory sent St Helens to the top of the table with six wins from six games, while Bradford dropped to third with the end of their 18-match unbeaten run. St Helens coach Daniel Anderson: "I'm very happy. They let their chains loose on their ability. "We needed to back ourselves and we did a few things tonight that we haven't done before. We'll take confidence out of the game, attacking wise. "But Bradford will be back. It was one of those games that went our way." Bradford coach Brian Noble: "We didn't help ourselves with that many penalties. If you give field position to this team, it's hard work. "It's not the first time this has happened to us here but we're not too despondent. It was one of those nights and we will learn from it."
