Tigers vow to fight on
Castleford are not giving up hope of retaining their Super League status despite Sunday's defeat to Salford.

The Tigers must win their last two matches to have a chance of avoiding the drop - and one of those games is against fellow strugglers Widnes.

"Mathematically it's not as bleak as some people are suggesting, we've still got a chance," Tigers managing Director Robert Elstone told BBC Radio Leeds.

"If we go to Widnes and win, then the points difference is very tight."

He added: "Widnes have a very tough final game and Wakefield come to the Jungle with perhaps not a lot to play for after securing their place in the top six."
