 Wellens has extended his stay until 2009 |
St Helens full-back Paul Wellens has agreed a four-year contract extension with the club. The deal, which will keep the Great Britain international at Knowsley Road until 2009, was announced before the match with Huddersfield on Friday.
Meanwhile, Widnes have offloaded stand-off Craig Weston to Leigh Centurions.
The 30-year-old Australian joined Widnes for a third time in June but has made only one appearance in the Super League in the last six weeks.
