Fozzard is a tough tackler |
St Helens have beaten Tetley's Super League rivals Bradford to the signature of Warrington prop Nick Fozzard. Fozzard, who is out of contract with the Wolves at the end of the year, had been linked with a move to Odsal.
But the former Huddersfield player has now agreed terms with the Knowsley Road club.
Wolves coach Paul Cullen told BBC Sport: "Yeah, he's going to St Helens. The deal is signed, sealed and delivered.
"Nick has given us great service and there is still a lot of rugby left in him. We wish him all the best."
"I think it's a great opportunity to join a team who are continually challenging for Super League honours," said Fozzard.
"I'm looking forward to teaming up with Ian and the Saints next season but for now I'm going to be concentrating on Warrington." Saints coach Ian Millward added: "Nick has become one of the best go-forward players in Super League and is a handful for the opposition defence.
"With his physical presence he has become a really dominant player as we saw in last year's Origin Series and he has been the backbone of the Warrington pack."
Bradford could also be set to miss out on reported target Toa Kohe Love.
The Hull centre still has a house close to his old club Warrington and may choose the Wolves over the Bulls.
