| | London Broncos have terminated the contract of Dominic Peters after the winger was handed a 12-month ban for taking drugs. "Our club has a zero tolerance policy towards drugs and we fully support the policy adopted by our game's administering body," said Nic Cartwright, chief executive of the Tetley's Super League club. Peters was suspended after being found guilty of providing a urine sample containing stanozolol. Canadian sprinter Ben Johnson was stripped of his 100m gold medal at the 1988 Seoul Olympics for taking the same steroid. Peters, who comes from Acton, was the first London-born talent to play at the top level for the Broncos. He made an impression as a second rower and won a debut for the club five years ago, scoring nine tries over the next two seasons.
