Oldham Athletic Football Club have slashed the rental they charge the cash-strapped Oldham Rugby League outfit for the use of Boundary Park. Latics are asking 1,500 per game for the last three home games of the season, down from 3,250.
As part of the new deal, Roughyeds have already paid for the three games.
Roughyeds have paid 230,000 to the Inland Revenue in the last year in arrears, interest and penalties in order to keep the club alive.
The club will now reach the end of their home programme on Sunday without owing any money.
"This is a first for us," said Roughyeds chairman Chris Hamilton. "It goes without saying that we are very grateful for the Latics' help.
"It underlines the excellent relationship between the two clubs."
