Coach Morgan makes Hull KR wait
Justin Morgan
Morgan's success with Toulouse has delayed his departure
Hull KR will have to wait a week longer for new coach Justin Morgan to arrive.

Morgan had been due to join Rovers next Monday, in time for their National League One table-topping game against Castleford at Craven Park on 7 August.

But victory for his Toulouse side over Limoux means he will stay for the French championship final against Union Treiziste Catalane on 6 August.

"Hull KR fully understand that one of my conditions was that I finish my commitments here first," said Morgan.

The Australian-born Welsh international could be presented with another dilemma if Toulouse spring a major upset in their Powergen Challenge Cup semi-final against Leeds on Sunday.

That could keep Morgan at Toulouse until the final at the Millennium Stadium on 27 August.

"It's something that is certainly in the back of the mind," said Morgan, who succeeds Harvey Howard at Hull KR.

"It would be a big upset but we'll be going into the game with a positive outlook to win it."

Toulouse, who beat Widnes 40-24 at home in the quarter-finals, will be without Australian loose forward Trent Robinson (torn bicep), but forward Cedric Prizzon will be fit again.
