Veteran prop Barrie McDermott has been left out of Ireland's World Cup qualifier with Lebanon at Tolka Park. David Bates, Liam Harrison and Martin McLoughlin also miss the game as Scott Grix, Damien Blanch, Paul McNicholas and Gareth Haggerty win call-ups.
Steve Nolan, Eric Roberts and Billy Treacy from Ireland's domestic competition also feature in head coach Andy Kelly's 20-man squad.
Ireland began their qualifying campaign by beating Russia 50-12 last month.
Kelly will name his team following Saturday's final training session in Dublin.
