Centre Kirk Yeaman scored 23 tries for Hull FC this season

Hull centre Kirk Yeaman will make his Great Britain debut in Saturday's Gillette Tri-Nations clash against Australia in Sydney.

The 23-year-old comes into the starting line-up in place of Martin Gleeson.

St Helens forward Jon Wilkin will also make his Test debut from the bench in place of Garreth Carvell.

Gareth Hock starts in the second row with Adrian Morley on the bench but coach Brian Noble admitted that he might yet reshuffle the squad.

Carvell is dropped from the 17-man squad, while Gleeson has been axed after concerns over his partnership with Brian Carney in GB's opening defeat by New Zealand.

Inclusion in the side at Aussie Stadium caps a roller-coaster season for Yeaman, who missed three months of the domestic campaign with an ankle ligament injury but still finished as one of Super League's top try scorers with 23 touchdowns.

"They've been on fire all season with their respective clubs," Noble said of the debutants.

"They've been great in practice, very enthusiastic and their attitude has been terrific.

"Jon Wilkin especially was unlucky to miss out last week, so he's now going to get the opportunity."
