They continued in the same vein in the second half with Mark Gleeson, Jon Clarke, Briers and Michal Sullivan all crossing. Lee Briers landed six goals for Warrington, while Haven's only points came from a Carl Rudd goal. Warrington boss Paul Cullen: "All I'm thinking about is next week's game against Castleford and we'll now prepare for that game. "We weren't at our best and our final pass at times let us down, but we were professional and did the job. "Credit to Whitehaven. They came here and defended bravely and were a credit to themselves." Whitehaven coach Dave Rotheram: "There is obviously a big step up from National League One and Super League, but hopefully we can come back here next year as a Super League club. "Promotion is the priority and that's what we are now working towards."
