Huddersfield cruised into the quarter-finals of the Challenge Cup with a seven-try win against National League One strugglers York. York actually took a 23rd-minute lead as Matt Blaymire crossed.
But a brace of tries by Chris Nero, both converted by Michael De Vere, gave the hosts a 12-4 lead at the break.
They ran away with it in the second half as James Evans, De Vere, Paul March and Stuart Donlan, with a double, added further tries.
Huddersfield boss Jon Sharp:
"York were in the game for longer than we expected but the players reacted fantastically.
"We were sloppy in the first half and not as clinical as we have been.
"But our aim was to get through to the next round and not suffer any injuries and we have achieved exactly that. So it's job done."
York coach Mick Cook:
"We hung in there for the full 80 minutes and I am very proud of my players.
"We have a lot of injuries but everyone who stepped in was great.
"We will take a lot from this game and have already learned a lot of lessons that can be only good for the future."
