Leeds ran in 12 tries as they thrashed National League One side Rochdale in the fifth round of the Challenge Cup. A brace from Danny Williams helped Leeds into an early 10-0 lead. They had to wait 20 minutes before their next try but scores from Shane Millard, Scott Donald and Carl Ablett ensured they led 26-0 at the break. Donald completed his hat-trick and Danny McGuire, Chev Walker, Nick Scruton, Chris Feather and Ablett also went over after the interval.
Leeds boss Tony Smith on Kevin Sinfield, who produced a man of the match display on his return from injury:
"Kevin's done amazingly well to get back so quickly, although it's not amazing if you know him. "He just did everything right and because he does everything right all of the time he probably doesn't get as injured as some people would. "He then worked liked crazy to get back and he's actually getting some better test results now than he did before the injury." Rochdale coach Darren Abram:
"We were realistic coming into the game knowing that it would have been a miracle to turn Leeds over. "We wanted the lads to come out with some respect as a team and as a club and I thought we did that."
