Rochdale set a new Challenge Cup record score as they sealed their place in the fourth round draw with a crushing 120-4 win over Illingworth at Spotland. But there will be one amateur team in Monday's fourth-round draw after Cumbrian outfit Wath Brow Hornets upset League Two club Dewsbury Rams 32-30.
Russian duo Strela Kazan and Locomotiv Moscow both made early exits, but the French sides enjoyed better fortunes.
Batley beat St Gaudens 40-14 but Pia, Toulouse and UTC all made it through.
The previous highest score in the Challenge Cup was achieved by Huddersfield, who demolished amateurs Swinton Park 119-2 in 1914. Rochdale, who lost 80-0 to Warrington in the fourth round 12 months ago, ran in 21 tries.
Two of the touchdowns came from Lee Birdseye, who scored 18 goals and 44 points to break the club records set by Steve Turner in a 92-0 win over Runcorn in 1989.
