The 2005 Challenge Cup final will be held on Saturday, 27 August at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium. The late-summer date has been agreed as part of the new television agreement with the BBC.
The tournament is being moved to a later date in line with the game's switch from winter and will climax over the weekend August Bank Holiday.
The final will be held in Cardiff for a third year but is expected to return to its traditional Wembley home in 2006.
