Bradford (8) 14 Tries: Royston 2, Lynch Goals: Ah Van
Hull FC (16) 28 Tries: Horne, Moa, Westerman, Yeaman, Fitzgibbon Goals: Tickle 4 Hull ran in five tries to beat Bradford at Odsal as they cemented their place in the Super League top eight. Three tries in eight minutes, from Richard Horne, Sam Moa and Joe Westerman, carved out a 16-0 first-half lead for the Black and Whites. Home centre Shad Royston's two unconverted tries in three minutes just before the interval halved the deficit. But Kirk Yeaman and Craig Fitzgibbon scored after the break, either side of one from Bulls skipper Andy Lynch. Yeaman's 17th try of the season took him back level with Hull KR's Kris Welham as the Super League's top scorer. Hull's second successive victory lifts them three points clear of ninth-placed Salford and 10th-placed Bradford. It also completed a double, Hull having also beaten the Bulls 34-24 at the KC Stadium back in April. After three league games without defeat, the result was a major dent in improving Bradford's own bid to avoid a third successive failure to make the play-offs. But the Black and Whites were good value for their victory, always looking capable of moving through the gears when the opportunities arose. The only disappointment for Hull coach Richard Agar was that his men failed to build on their early superiority by allowing Bradford to score twice through Royston and again through Lynch in the early stages of the second half. POST-MATCH VIEWS Bradford Bulls coach Mick Potter: "We're stuck where we are at the moment - we just need to win more games. "I was disappointed with the way we started and finished the game. "Ultimately the other team were physical and more aggressive than us most of the time. That's where the battle starts and stops. It's not good enough." Hull coach Richard Agar: "In terms of where we are in the table, we're just concentrating on week by week performances. "Bradford went looking for Danny Houghton a bit but he stood up manfully under a defensive onslaught and that was a real testament to the physical condition of the kid. That's the sort of warrior mentality he's got as an individual. "I thought that Joe Westerman and Willie Manu looked dangerous every time they touched the ball in the first half. They were probably our two best players alongside Houghton. " TEAMS Bradford: Kearney; Crookes, Royston, Whitehead, Ah Van; Jeffries, Herbert; Lynch, Diskin, Kopczak, Elima, Sibbit, Langley.
