Dale Ferguson joined Huddersfield from Wakefield in February
Huddersfield thrashed Leeds to earn their first win at Headingley in 51 years and go top of Super League.
The Giants took a 20-0 half-time lead thanks to scores from Dale Ferguson (2) and Jermaine McGillvary.
Rob Burrow got Leeds on the board after the break before Ryan Bailey was sent off along with Giants forward Luke O'Donnell for their part in a brawl.
The Giants also had Scott Grix yellow carded, but scores from Shaun Lunt (2) and Luke Robinson sealed the rout.
It was the visitors' first win at Leeds since a 12-9 Yorkshire Cup semi-final victory in October 1960, ending a 26-game winning run for the home side.
An early injury to winger Jamie Simpson failed to disrupt Nathan Brown's men, who had O'Donnell to thank for the dominance up front that create space for half-backs Kevin Brown and Danny Brough.
But it was McGillvary that did the work for Ferguson's first score, before the exciting winger got himself on the sheet by finishing a move that involved Brown, Robinson, Grix and Darrel Griffin.
Brough converted both scores, added a penalty and then kicked a further conversion when Ferguson brushed off Leeds full-back Brent Webb that effectively ended the contest.
Luke O'Donnell should have run in and knocked him out cold. And he shouldn't have been sent off either because the officials are the ones that let that get out of control

Leeds were booed off at half-time but showed more fight in the second half, particularly in the brawl that saw Bailey and O'Donnell receive their marching orders.
At last the Rhinos spotted a gap in the Giants defence when Keith Senior broke through and sent Burrow over.
Kevin Sinfield added the extras but any hope of a fightback was snuffed out when Lee Gilmour fed replacement Lunt for the visitors' fourth try.
Grix was sin-binned for a professional foul, but with Webb also in the cooler for a similar offence, Robinson jinked through a Leeds defence in disarray for Huddersfield's fifth score.
Lunt gathered a loose ball in the final minute for the Giant's sixth, Brough maintaining his 100% record with the boot by landing his seventh kick.
Leeds coach Brian McDermott: "I am concerned. Concerned for a group of players who are desperate to do better.
"I am not confident of much at the moment but what I am confident of is that there's a group of people there, staff and players included, who are in a place where they don't want to be.
"They've a massive workrate and great desire and at moment it's puzzling because on game day it's just not happening for us."
Huddersfield coach Nathan Brown:
"It was disgraceful, horrible. Luke O'Donnell has run in but hasn't thrown a punch after Kevin Brown had been hit late, off the ball. Then Bailey picks him up and punches him.
"Luke O'Donnell should have run in and knocked him out cold. And he shouldn't have been sent off either because the officials are the ones that let that get out of control.
"If one of my players did that I'd expect him to be sent off and I would expect one of the Leeds boys to get stuck into my player immediately."
