Clawson worked with former England coach Brian Noble at Bradford

Barrow Raiders head coach Garry Schofield has appointed former Bradford Bulls fitness coach Martin Clawson to his backroom staff at Craven Park.

Clawson worked with Brian Noble at Bradford and Crusaders, and will help Schofield at Barrow in the absence of assistant coach Nigel Wright.

"Martin has proven to be one of the best in the business," Schofield told the club website.

"I am sure my players will enjoy what he brings to the training sessions."

Schofield added: "At present weather conditions are dictating that most of it is gym work.

"We will be playing fast flowing, entertaining rugby and to do that every player must be at the top of his game fitness-wise."
