Thackray has three caps for Great Britain

Barrow Raiders have signed prop Jamie Thackray from Super League side Crusaders for the 2011 season.

The 31-year-old made 19 appearances and scored three tries for the Welsh outfit last season, under former Wigan and Great Britain coach Brian Noble.

Having started his career at Halifax, Thackray represented Hunslet, Castleford, Leeds and Hull FC prior to his move to Crusaders in 2010.

Thackray was also capped three times for Great Britain, again under Noble.
