Leigh Centurions are the new leaders of The Co-operative Championship after securing a 26-4 victory over Batley. Ian Millward's men are now unbeaten after six league games. They have played one game more than Featherstone Rovers, who have yet to drop a point. A first half-half hat-trick by Matty Blythe in response to James Martin's early try set Leigh on their way. Tries by Chris Hill and John Duffy and two Robbie Paul goals completed the Centurions' scoring. Champions Barrow sent out a warning to the rest of the Championship with a crushing 50-4 win over Sheffield. Zeb Luisi, Liam Harrison, Anthony Blackwood, Jermaine McGilvary, Jamie Rooney, Andy Ballard, Matt James, Paul Noone and Michael Knowles all scored. Michael Stringer's early effort was all the Eagles could muster in reply. Nine Widnes players also scored as the Vikings hit form with a impressive 48-18 win over Whitehaven. Anthony Thackeray, James Ford, Lee Doran, Chris Gerrard, Toa Kohe-Love, Mat Gardner, Danny Hulme, Paddy Flynn and Shane Grady - who also added six goals - were the Vikings' try-scorers. Leroy Joe, Ian Mort and Stephen Dawes crossed for the Cumbrian side. Keighley scored seven tries to win 42-10 at Dewsbury. Daley Williams grabbed two of them with further efforts coming from seven-goal Danny Jones, Will Cartledge, Andy Shickell, George Rayner and Greg Nicholson. The Rams could manage only a try in each half from Tom Wandless and Scott Turner. Halifax put two league defeats in a row behind them with a stunning 50-6 win over Toulouse at The Shay. Shad Royston bagged a hat-trick for the home side who ran in a total of nine tries, seven of which were converted by Lee Patterson who amassed 22 points after also scoring a brace of tries. Other try scorers for Halifax, who moved up to fifth with this victory, included Frank Watene, Rob Worrincy and James Haley who crossed twice. Championship One York were knocked off the top of Championship One as they slumped to a 27-14 loss at Blackpool. Dave Llewellyn helped himself to a hat-trick for the Panthers, who trailed 6-4 at the break, while Paul Ballard and Damian Munro also touched down. Jonny Leather contributed seven points with the boot while Dennis Tuffour, with two, and Joe McLocklan crossed in reply for the City Knights. Hunslet took over at the top as they overcame another recent leader of the competition, South Wales Scorpions, 42-12 at The Gnoll. The match was intriguingly poised at 16-12 in the Hawks' favour early in the second half after the Scorpions replied to tries from Richard Chapman, Stuart Kain and Paul March through Christiaan Roets and Steve Parry. But the visitors proved too strong and ran in five more tries through Danny Grimshaw, Michael Mark, David March, Kain and Neil Lowe. Michael Fogerty touched down twice as Oldham won for a second time over Easter by edging out Workington 16-14. Lucas Onyango also got on the scoresheet and Matty Ashe kicked two goals as the Roughyeds withstood a second-half Town fightback. Workington, who trailed 10-0 at half-time, replied through Scott Kaighan, Mike Whitehead and Neil Frazer. Doncaster scored seven tries to see off fellow strugglers London Skolars 38-28. David Bates scored two of them and Garry Ellery, Lee Gomersall, Aaron Henry, Craig Lawton and Paul Brown also found their way over. The Skolars, who had trailed 32-6 after 40 minutes, produced a spirited showing after the break. Ade Adebisi and Luke May finished with two tries apiece and Austin Aggrey got one.
