Featherstone's army link began when the two met in the Challenge Cup

Featherstone Rovers have announced that the British Army will be one of their shirt sponsors for next season.

The partnership originated in Championship side Featherstone's tie against the army in the 2009 Challenge Cup, which Rovers won 94-2.

Rovers forward Iain Morrison said: "It's a real honour to have their name on our shirts.

"We get paid to play rugby; they put their lives on the line. There's no comparison between what we do."
