Mogg is one of the three Catalans Dragons bidding for France selection

France have provisionally named three Australian-born players in their squad for the Four Nations.

The Catalans Dragons trio of Clint Greenshields, Casey McGuire and Adam Mogg need final approval from the International Federation.

The Australians have spent the last three seasons playing in Perpignan.

New French captain Olivier Elima said: "We are going to try and get them and I certainly hope they will make it because they are real quality players."

Elima, formerly of Wakefield and Castleford, succeeds Jerome Guisset as captain following the latter's retirement from the international game. Jean-Philippe Baile has been made vice-captain.

Coach Bobbie Goulding's 30-man squad includes 17 players from the Dragons roster and is due to be cut down to 22 or 23 by 8 October.
