Melbourne Storm will play Parramatta Eels in this year's NRL Grand Final.

The Storm booked their place with a crushing 40-10 victory over Brisbane Broncos, with Greg Inglis scoring a hat-trick of tries for the home side.

Billy Slater also touched down twice for the 2007 champions, who have now made the final for four straight years.

Parramatta, coached by former St Helens boss Daniel Anderson, secured an ANZ Stadium showdown with the Storm on 4 October by winning 22-12 at Canterbury.

A record crowd of 74,549 turned up at the former Olympic stadium in Sydney to watch the Eels overturn a 12-6 half-time deficit to qualify for their first Grand Final since 2001.

Parramatta, who were the last team to reach the final in four successive seasons (1981-1984), became the first team in history to qualify for the Grand Final from eighth position.
