Graham, Hodgson and Morley have all enjoyed successful seasons |
St Helens's James Graham, Brett Hodgson of Huddersfield and Warrington's Adrian Morley have been shortlisted for the 2009 Super League Man of Steel award. Graham is the holder of the title, which is presented to the player who is deemed to have made the biggest impact on the Super League season. The prestigious award is decided by a poll of every Super League player. It will be presented, along with a number of other awards, at a gala dinner on Monday 5 October. Hodgson, who has already been named Super League player of the year by the Rugby League Writers' Association, is shortlisted in his first season in England after joining the Giants from Australian club Wests Tigers. | 606: DEBATE |
Morley's inclusion comes as recognition for leading the Wolves to victory over Huddersfield in the Challenge Cup final at Wembley, although a finish of 10th place in the Super League table was a disappointment. Earlier this week, Hodgson and Morley were named in the 2009 Super League Dream Team, but Graham missed out.
