Huddersfield bounced back from their Challenge Cup final loss to Warrington with a thumping victory in Wales.

David Hodgson crossed for the first of the Giants' seven tries, each of which was converted by Leroy Cudjoe.

Liam Fulton scored a try in each half and Shaun Lunt a brace in three minutes as Huddersfield threatened to run riot.

Crusaders, who were playing their final Super League game in Bridgend, hit back with consolation tries by Anthony Blackwood, Mark Lennon and Steve Tyrer.

Celtic Crusaders coach John Dixon:

"The better team won. We always knew when they came here today that they were looking to get their season back on track. We always knew it would be tough.

"Credit to our boys, that game could have run away from us. To score three unanswered tries towards the end was a fair return for us."

Huddersfield coach Nathan Brown:
"Shaun Lunt was one of our best players last week and he was probably our best this week too.

"He has done very well and come from National League Two to being in the top four players of a side which has played in the Challenge Cup final so he must be very proud of himself.

"We didn't play great. We were good in patches but the opposition tried hard."
