Jean-Philippe Baile scored a hat-trick as Catalans Dragons beat Hull KR.

Baile scored his first try in the ninth minute following Clint Greenshields' break and soon had a second as he grounded Thomas Bosc's free kick.

Paul Cooke's delayed pass to Walker set up a try for Ben Cockayne, but Jason Croker pounced on Bosc's kick to give the home side a 18-6 half-time lead.

Daniel Fitzhenry's try cut the Dragons' lead, before Baile squeezed his way over in the corner for his hat-trick.

Hull KR coach Justin Morgan:

"We were really close and I thought the game was there to be won, our execution was a bit off but if we keep turning up with that attitude we will win one of these close games.

"I thought we showed some good aggression in defence and decisiveness was back although it wasn't there for the full 80 minutes. That is a good sign.

"There were more positives than negatives to come from this game. There's a lot of reasons why this is a hard place to come and win but that's the same for every team that comes here.

"If we keep turning up with that attitude we'll soon win because our effort was very good."
