Birmingham Bulldogs stretched their winning run to four matches after a tense 26-18 victory against Telford. Two tries in the opening seven minutes of the match set the Bulldogs on the way to a victory that put them top of the Conference Premier. Danny Bancroft and Richard Rainger crossed early on, with Clinton Tull's score securing an 18-10 lead. Rainger's second score from an intercepted pass shortly after the break proved decisive. Bancroft converted all four tries and also added a penalty for a personal haul of 14 points. The Bulldogs' form gives them plenty of encouragement ahead of a home game against the Coventry Bears, a team they have never previously beaten, on Saturday.
