Barrow Raiders threw away a first-half lead to slip to a 26-24 defeat by Halifax in the Championship on Sunday. Dave Clark's side were 16-8 up at the break, thanks to tries from Liam Campbell, Andrew Brocklehurst and Martin Ostler. However converted tries from Sean Penkywicz, Matt James and Bob Beswick took Fax into an unassailable lead, Chris Young's converted try in vain. Raiders take on Super League side Wigan next weekend in the Challenge Cup.
