Catalans Dragons v Castleford

Castleford moved up to third in the Super League with victory at Catalans.

The Tigers got off to a flier with Kirk Dixon touching down and James Evans going over for the first of two tries before Clint Greenshields hit back.

Richard Owen extended Castleford's lead on 25 minutes, but Jamal Fakir reduced the deficit again.

Evans put the visitors 18-12 up, with a Cyril Stacul try and Thomas Bosc goal levelling matters, but a Rangi Chase try and Dixon kick proved decisive.

It was Chase's first try as the Tigers made it three wins in a row for the first time in more than five years

Dixon showed composure in kicking Chase's try given he had missed with three previous efforts.

Catalans Dragons coach Kevin Walters:

"I'd like to congratulate Castleford for how they played in the wind.

"Our main problem is that we're leaking too many points and we will be working on our defence this week.

"I'm not very happy at losing three of our first four matches but I'm still very positive.

"We are quality players and I'm confident we will do very well by the end of the season."
