Anderson, 41, won every domestic honour during his stint with St Helens |
Former St Helens coach Daniel Anderson is being linked with Parramatta Eels following his decision to head home. The Australian is favourite to take over from Michael Hagan, who has quit to spend more time with his family. Anderson spent more than three highly successful seasons at Saints, helping them win every domestic honour going. The Australian, 41, began his coaching career at Parramatta, eventually becoming assistant head coach before joining New Zealand Warriors in 2001. He moved to England midway through the 2005 season, winning the Challenge Cup (2006, 2007 and 2008), Super League Grand Final (2006) and World Club Challenge (2007). He ended his Saints reign following the Super League Grand Final defeat to Leeds Rhinos on 4 October.
