Salford centre John Wilshere will lead Papua New Guinea in their opening World Cup match against England. The former Warrington back is one of 11 overseas-based players named in coach Adrian Lam's final 24-man squad. Hull KR's Stanley Gene and Makali Aizue are included in a squad that includes debutants Jason Chan, Neville Costigan, Jay Ashton, David Moore and Sam Joe. The Kumuls, who take on England on 25 October in Townsville, are joined in Pool A by Australia and New Zealand.
