Celtic Crusaders

Celtic Crusaders secured second place in the Co-operative National League One table with a win over league leaders Salford City Reds at the Brewery Field.

The result means they will meet again in three weeks' time at The Willows in the second round of the play-offs, both receiving a bye in round one.

Crusaders broke the deadlock when Luke Dyer dived in at the left-hand corner.

Matt Gardner scored for Salford but the Welsh replied through Damien Quinn, David Tangata-Toa and Tony Duggan.
