Leeds v Wakefield

Danny McGuire claimed a hat-trick and goalkicker Kevin Sinfield scored in a record-equalling 48th successive Super League game as Leeds crushed Wakefield.

McGuire bagged a pair either side of Sam Obst's Wakefield try, with Eric Anselme, Rob Burrow, Simon Worrall and Keith Senior also scoring for Leeds.

After the break Danny Brough scored for Wakefield but Carl Ablett, Matt Diskin, Senior and McGuire scored for Leeds.

Sinfield matched Andy Farrell's record scoring run with seven goals.

Leeds coach Brian McClennan:

"It was one of my easiest half-time team talks.

"I just said 'keep doing what you're doing' and I felt a little sorry for Wakefield because it all happened so quickly and is hard to stop.

"They were trying very hard but this Leeds side is so quick and they can break away really quickly."

Wakefield coach John Kear:

"For 25 to 30 minutes it was a good competitive Super League game.

"For 50 minutes I thought it was an exhibition game for Leeds. They played really well but we underperformed.

"It's a slight concern because it's twice we've done that now against Leeds. But they're certainly the best team in Super League and unfortunately they've shown it twice against Wakefield."
