Willie Manu's 60th-minute try proved the difference as Hull FC beat their National League opponents to reach the Challenge Cup quarter-finals.

Adam Dykes, Todd Byrne and Michael Burnett scored for Hull in the first half, but Bob Beswick and Lee Paterson kept the Vikings in touch.

Craig Hall got Hull off to a dream start in the second half before Rob Draper went over to give Widnes hope.

But Manu and Dykes had the final say as Hull secured their victory.
