SCORES AND MAJOR INCIDENTS (all times BST) | 606: DEBATE | To get involved use 606 or text us your views & comments on 81111. (Not all contributions can be used)2100: Many thanks for you texts and comments today. Millennium Magic, of course, continues on Sunday with three more cracking fixtures. 2056: Don't forget, if anyone wants to watch all of the tries from MM at once then the Super League Show could well be the one for you. With it being a Bank Holiday weekend the show is on a day later than normal. In the north of England it will be on at 1130 BST on Monday 5 May. The show will be repeated nationally on Tuesday 6 May at 0100 BST. 2055: "We are disappointed with result and the performance. We started both halves really slowly and paid the price." Bradford Bulls coach Steve McNamara 2050: The first day of Millennium Magic has drawn to a close. In two of today's fixtures there were 70 points and the Leeds-Bradford match produced 66. No shortage of excitement! 2046: "It was a bit of an error ridden match but we still had enough experience in the team and the guys did a good job." Leeds coach Brian McClennan 2042: Full-time Bradford 26-40 Leeds The final hooter sounds - and Leeds prop Kylie Leuluai is named as Man of the Match. 2041: TRY Bradford 26-40 Leeds Sam Burgess follows up a kick from Paul Deacon and touches down under the posts. Paul Deacon adds the conversion - the last action of the match. 2038: A scrum is called. Just over a minute left and several players square up in a manner that would perhaps not be described as legal. 2036: Wayne Godwin is inches away from a consolation try for the Bulls. David Solomona then knocks-on. 2033: TRY Bradford 20-40 Leeds Kylie Leuluai barges over for another try, showing great strength, as Leeds underline their supremacy. It looked like a forward pass from Kevin Sinfield, who nonetheless adds the extra two points shortly afterwards. 2032: "Job One is to win, Job Two is to look pretty - we managed both." Wakefield boss John Kear on his team's win 2031: Bradford are offside from the restart and then Glenn Morrison is penalised for a high shot. Less than 10 minutes left and the Bulls are looking ragged. 2029: TRY Bradford 20-34 Leeds Ryan Hall superbly pulls a David Solomona pass out of the sky and closes in for what will surely be the decisive try. Hall had gambled on coming out of the Leeds defensive line. Kevin Sinfield adds the extras. 2027: Oh dear. Paul Sykes drops the ball from the kick-off. A terrible error at a crucial time. 2024: TRY Bradford Bradford 20-28 Leeds Shontayne Hape is close to the line - he touches down but there is a hint of a double movement and the decision of referred upstairs. After several minutes of deliberation the decision is given in Bradford's favour. Paul Deacon adds the extras. Game on. 2022: Bradford work their way up-field but Simon Finnigan loses the ball. Simon Worrall then does the same for Leeds. A glimmer of hope? 2019: TRY Bradford Bradford 14-28 Leeds Less than 20 minutes left for Bradford to try to conjure a remarkable change of fortune. Andy Lynch is a yard short for the Bulls, who then work the ball out wide. David Solomona puts through a superb diagonal kick that Semi Tadulala collects in the corner for a try. Paul Deacon just misses with a difficult conversion attempt. 2016: Bradford are desperate to force their way back into this game. Perhaps the Bulls are trying a touch too hard as the occasional unforced errors are disrupting their advances. 2014: Leeds should score again but, with the try line in front of him and no Bradford player in sight, Danny McGuire knocks-on as he attempts to collect a pass. 2011: TRY Bradford Bradford 10-28 Leeds Brent Webb starts and finishes a break from deep. Scott Donald, fresh from scoring a try, collects a long, long pass from Webb before tearing down the wing and whipping the ball inside for the New Zealand international to touch down. Kevin Sinfield adds the extras. 2008: TRY Bradford Bradford 10-22 Leeds Semi Tadulala knocks-on and shortly after Scott Donald touches down in the corner - his 13th try of the campaign - after a superb long pass from Brent Webb. Sinfield misses with the conversion. Leeds have been awesome since the restart. 2007: "Today's attendance is 30,628, as opposed to 26,447 on day two last year, when Leeds versus Bradford was top of the bill." BBC Sport's Julian Shea in Cardiff 2004: TRY Bradford Bradford 10-18 Leeds Danny McGuire makes the break, slipping the ball to Simon Worrall, who in turn passes to Keith Senior, who crosses to extend his team's lead. Kevin Sinfield adds the extras. 2001: "A try with his first touch for Leeds new boy Eric Anselme. Not a bad introduction for the Frenchman, you might think, except that he did exactly the same thing for the Rhinos reserves team on Wednesday night." BBC Sport's Phil Gordos in Cardiff 1957: TRY Bradford 10-12 Leeds Leeds break from in their own half, thanks largely to Kallum Watkins, who shows great composure to slip the ball inside. The ball is worked to Eric Anselme, who crosses for the try and Kevin Sinfield converts. 1956: Leeds had opportunities in the first half but Bradford, largely courtesy of the boot of Paul Deacon, have a slender lead going into the final 40 minutes. 1955: The second half is about to start. What have you made of the first day of Millennium Magic? 1940: Half-time Bradford 10-6 Leeds A tight and competitive first half comes to a close. Bradford have taken advantage of the penalties that have come their way to edge ahead. 1939: PENALTY Bradford 10-6 Leeds Danny McGuire thinks he has legitimately stolen the ball but there were two people in the tackle. Bradford are awarded a penalty that Paul Deacon kicks from the half-way line. 1937: A big shout to Glenn Morrison. He has just been penalised for offside but the Bulls forward has put some massive hits in, forcing an error from Luke Burgess a couple of minutes ago. 1935: Both teams work through good sets, engineering the ball towards the opposition's try line. However, defences have been committed and clear openings are at a premium at the moment. Rob Burrow, for example, has made several excellent tackles. 1925: PENALTY Bradford 8-6 Leeds Leeds concede a penalty and Paul Deacon edges Bradford back in front. 1929: Bradford defend another set on their line. How much longer can they sustain that sort of pressure? 1928: "Kallum Watkins, for those not aware, is just 17 years and two months old. A centre from Accrington, he joined the club last year, playing in the academy side. This is only his third first-team game and his second try. Thanks to Leeds Rhinos media manager Phil Daly for that info." BBC Sport's Phil Gordos in Cardiff 1925: PENALTY Bradford 6-6 Leeds Paul Deacon levels the scores for the Bulls after Leeds are penalised for offside. The Bradford team have been under the cosh and the points are most welcome. 1922: Bradford win a badly needed penalty. Several Bradford players are on their knees, including David Solomona after a tackle from Luke Burgess. 1920: Another grubber kick results in Paul Deacon dragged into touch and a goal-line drop out. 1918: Bradford's Paul Sykes fails to collect a grubber kick, knocking-on, and the Bulls have to defend a set on their goal-line. 1916: Leeds find themselves ahead but, prior to scoring, had looked a touch eager in possession and were fortunate to get the ball back for the set that led to their try. 1914: TRY Bradford 4-6 Leeds Leeds start a set yards from the Bradford line and work the ball from right to left through some superb handling skills and Kallum Watkins touches down. Kevin Sinfield then slots over to put the Rhinos ahead. 1911: Young Leeds centre Kallum Watkins comes in on the angle but tries a difficult off-load and knocks-on. 1909: Leeds have yet to show what they offer as an attacking force - but Sam Burgess is penalised for a tackle on Kevin Sinfield and the Rhinos now have a chance to impress. 1906: TRY Bradford 4-0 Leeds Terry Newton switches play and the ball is worked out to winger Semi Tadulala, who finishes superbly to ground the ball. Paul Deacon pushes the conversion from out wide. 1905: Leeds, of course, beat Bradford 44-2 at Headingley Carnegie over Easter. The Rhinos have 17-year-old Kallum Watkins playing at centre. 1904: Both Leeds and Bradford trying to work their way through their early sets to try to establish good field position but Iestyn Harris puts a kick out on the full. 1900: The big game of the day is under way. Here are the teams: Bradford: Halley, Evans, Sykes, Hape, Tadulala, Harris, Deacon, Lynch, Newton, Burgess, Solomona, Langley, Morrison. Replacements: Tupou, Finnigan, Godwin, Nero. Leeds: Webb, Hall, Watkins, Senior, Donald, McGuire, Burrow, Leuluai, Diskin, Scruton, Ablett, Peacock, Sinfield. Replacements: Tansey, Burgess, Worrall, Anselme. Referee: R Silverwood (Dewsbury)
1851: Not long now until the big one - as Leeds meet Bradford and the Burgess brothers, Luke and Sam, line up on opposite sides. 1848: "The Wakefield fans were chanting 'We want 50' - presumably Damien Blanch heard them, as he went over for his second try to rack up the half-century of points." BBC Sport's Julian Shea in Cardiff 1845: Full-time Castleford 16-54 Wakefield A superb display from John Kear's Wakefield, who look potent in attack and aggressive in defence. They have now won their last five league and cup fixtures. As for Cas, a day to forget. If I was a Tigers fan I'd be thinking about drowning my sorrows. 1840: TRY Castleford 16-54 Wakefield A long pass out wide sees Damien Blanch cut inside and touch down. The Tigers just want this game to end. They have now had more than 50 points put on them. A great conversion from Danny Brough, who really has been magic at the Millennium.
1840: TRY Castleford 16-48 Wakefield A terrible handling error from Castleford's Liam Higgins gifts the simplest of scores to Ryan Atkins, who runs 20 yards before crossing for a try. Danny Brough lands another conversion. 1836: Less than 10 minutes to go and this game is all over. Castleford, though, have not given up and credit must go to them for that. Ultimately, though, Danny Brough's kicking game combined with the intensity of Wakefield's defence has proved to be far too much for them. 1834: Cas have suffered from injuries in this game - Andrew Henderson has gone off now and joins the likes of Awen Guttenbeil and Ryan Clayton on the sidelines. 1831: Smack, bang - massive hit. Oliver Wilkes on Andrew Henderson. Castleford's Henderson is floored and the stretcher is required though the challenge is fair. Henderson climbs to his feet and gingerly walks off. 1830: With 12 minutes left Danny Brough collects his own chip to touch down. The video referee rules out the try for an obstruction earlier in the move. 1828: "Wakefield are winning the noisiest fans contest so far. Supporters of Leeds and Bradford have their work cut out." BBC Sport's Phil Gordos in Cardiff 1826: TRY Castleford 16-42 Wakefield Another one for the video referee after Michael Shenton crosses under pressure from two Wakefield tacklers. The try is eventually given but Dixon misses the conversion attempt from out wide. 1825: The sting has gone out of the Cas-Wakey game, though the Tigers are continuing to attack to try to restore some wounded pride. 1823: Not that long now until what could be the game of the weekend - Leeds against Bradford. And with that in mind... "We were robbed last year but this year Leeds will easily beat us! New direction needed for the Mighty Bulls." IainChad on 606
1818: Hmm. Rest assured that all the rogue 'half-time' references have been changed to 'TRY'. Can only apologise for that most heinous copy and paste error. 1817: TRY Castleford 12-42 Wakefield A great off-load from Oliver Wilkes plays Scott Grix through for another try. The attacking move follows a penalty against Michael Korkidas. Danny Brough adds the extras. 1816: There are 25 minutes left and surely the points will be going to Wakefield. 1811: TRY Castleford 12-36 Wakefield Oh dear. Cas work so hard for their try and then an awful pass from Ryan McGoldrick is picked up by Damien Blanch, who runs half the field before crossing under the posts. Danny Brough converts. 1811: TRY Castleford 12-30 Wakefield Cas are enjoying a spell of pressure and Joe Westerman eventually stretches over for a try after hitting the gain line at pace and with power. Kirk Dixon adds the extras. Wakey had not conceded a second-half try in their previous four games. 1809: Smooth passing from Cas culminates with Ned Katic, once of Wakey, trying to touch down in the corner. The video ref says No Try. Replays suggested Katic lost the ball as he attempted to ground it under pressure. 1808: Tevito Leo-Latu dances and jigs his way across the field. A huge whirling dervish of a man whose energy is infectious. The Tigers look bewildered. 1806: A huge, barrelling bomb from Danny Brough causes chaos. Cas just about survive after failing to collect at the first attempt. Brough is dictating play. 1804: TRY Castleford 6-30 Wakefield Wakefield go down the other end. A kick forward from Danny Brough hits the post and is collected by Scott Grix at the second attempt. He touches down under pressure and the try is awarded by the video referee. Heartbreak hotel for Castleford. Danny Brough adds the extras. 1802: A great kick from Luke Dorn earns Cas a 40-20. The Tigers go on the attack but Scott Moore is held up over the try line. Great defence. The final play of the set follows and Kirk Dixon hits the corner flag under pressure. 1800: "Matchday compere Keith Chegwin has been doing his presentation duties with all the enthusiasm of someone commentating on the closing stages of the Grand National. He just gave away a pair of tickets to the Grand Final to someone in the crowd dressed as a Smurf." BBC Sport's Julian Shea in Cardiff All in a day's work for Keith. The old pro. 1758: Back under way in Cardiff. 1757: "They went up the other end and scored, after they went to the big screen - I have a different opinion to the person who made the decision but I can't have any input on that." Huddersfield Giants coach Jon Sharp laments a crucial decision from the video referee that went against his team 1754: "It was a bit like King Canute, you can't stop the tide." Warrington coach Paul Cullen explains his team's superb comeback against Huddersfield in an ever so slightly cryptic Eric Cantona-type fashion 1749: "A lot of the 'Cullen out' brigade have gone quiet - credit where it is due chaps, it looked bad at half-time, but we won the game over the course of 80 minutes - and that's what counts!"!" wirefan87 on 606
1744: Half-time Castleford 6-24 Wakefield A glimmer of hope for the Tigers, who seemed all but out of it after 30 minutes. Maybe they can take inspiration from Warrington but I cannot see Wakefield capitulating as Huddersfield did in the previous fixture. 1741: A rampaging run from Joe Westerman shows us what he can do. It leads to a penalty and Michael Korkidas goes close before the ball is knocked-on with several Cas players in space. 1740: "Richard Owen looked almost embarrassed by the attention after scoring that try for Castleford, but gave the cameras a bit of a "hello Mum" wave for the big screen. It was a neat bit of finishing, he should be a bit more proud of himself." BBC Sport's Julian Shea in Cardiff 1736: TRY Castleford 6-24 Wakefield Fast, sharp hands see the ball worked out to the touchline and 18-year-old Richard Owen touches down from a couple of yards. Well-crafted and badly needed try. Excellent touch-line conversion from Kirk Dixon. 1735: A good kick downfield from Luke Dorn finally sees Cas fashion some decent field position. 1732: Another Brough kick, another desperate clearance from McGoldrick, another goal-line drop-out. Wakefield have controlled this match so far and dominated field possession. 1730: Up to the video ref but surely Jamie Rooney is well short. Verdict - play-the-ball. 1729: A moment that says it all for Cas. They are finally in a decent attacking position and the talented Luke Dorn throws the ball straight into touch as he attempts a pass. 1728: Wakefield have been superb in terms of their kick-chase, while Cas have had precious few attacking opportunities. McGoldrick has been under extreme pressure on his own line. 1721: TRY Castleford 0-24 Wakefield Brough has the ball in his hand and is running through broken play after several missed tackles from the inept Tigers. The ball is worked out to Richard Moore, who smashes through from 20 yards out, holding off several players on his way to the line. Danny Brough adds the extras. 1719: TRY Castleford 0-18 Wakefield Castleford coach Terry Matterson scratches his head, as well he might. Lots of dummy runners close to the Cas line causes all kinds of confusion and prop Richard Moore slips a good pass out wide for Scott Grix to cross in the corner. Brough hits the post with his conversion attempt. 1715: TRY Castleford 0-14 Wakefield Sam Obst scores after Brough does his best to mess up a try. He is through and just needs to pass but goes alone and is tackled short of the line. Thankfully for Wakey they have enough of an overlap out wide and work the ball out to Obst. Danny Brough adds the extras. 1714: TRY Castleford 0-8 Wakefield Wakefield drive the ball down the middle and Adam Watene, just back from compassionate leave, powers his way over the line. Danny Brough adds the extras. 1713: A fairly even contest so far, with both teams looking to make the hard yards through the middle. 1712: (See 1659) "What do you mean the people of Cardiff couldn't understand fans drinking together? They've seen it and been part of it year in, year out for decades with the Six Nations!" Henry, Hull, via text on 81111 1708: We've already seen a lot of probing kicks from Wakey's Danny Brough. This time McGoldrick manages to bring the ball back into the field of play. 1705: PENALTY Castleford 0-2 Wakefield Danny Brough puts Wakefield ahead from in front of the sticks after a Tigers player is caught offside. 1704: Wakefield enthusiastically follow a kick down field and trap Ryan McGoldrick in his own try zone. 1700: And we are underway in game two. The Tigers are looking for just their third SL win this season, while Wakefield are in decent form. 1659: "I went to MM last year. The people of Cardiff couldn't understand all the fans drinking and laughing together - football should take note." Kes, Leeds, via text on 81111 1654: And after the drama of the opening game it is straight on to that West Yorkshire derby that sees Castleford versus Wigan. Castleford: McGoldrick, Donlan, Dixon, Shenton, Owen, Dorn, Sherwin, Higgins, Moore, Huby, Guttenbeil, Cook, Westerman. Replacements: Henderson, Korkidas, Clayton, Catic. Wakefield: Blaymire, Gleeson, Martin, Atkins, Grix, Rooney, Brough, Watene, Obst, Moore, MacGillivray, Golden, Dale. Replacements: Wilkes, Leo-Latu, Bibb, Blanch. Referee: I Smith (Oldham) 1650: "The coaches will be speaking to the media 10 minutes after the game, we are told - I'd have thought it will take both coaches a bit longer than that to get their breath back and their heart rates down. What a thrilling match to get things going for the weekend. "Having been decidedly restrained when he scored his first try and a bit more excited when he got his second, Lee Briers went mad on the final whistle, jumping around and puching the air." BBC Sport's Julian Shea in Cardiff 1642: Full-time Huddersfield 34-36 Warrington The final whistle sounds at the Millennium Stadium. What a comeback by Warrington, who trailed 22-6 at the break. Both teams scored six tries - with just one missed conversion separating them. A controversial try at the start of the second-half that went in favour of Warrington may have been crucial. 1638: TRY Huddersfield 34-36 Warrington Hmm, a hint of a forward pass but Andy Raleigh crosses and Luke Robinson adds the extras. Surely not enough time left? 1638: TRY Huddersfield 28-36 Warrington Lee Briers has been sensational - and defeats several players before scoring under the sticks. Chris Hicks adds the extras. 1637: "What a comeback! Keep it going Wire!" reds4ever08 on 606
You lot have changed your tune. All the chat now is Jon Sharp out. 1635: A mistake from Reardon - the Wolves have given the ball away at inopportune moments in this match. 1633: Time ticking down - less than 10 minutes left to play. Just two points between the teams and the Giants looking to manufacture some good field position. 1630: (See 1548) "I forgot to put my name! Didn't think you were the real Paul. Everyone knows the only game anyone's bothered about is the Hull derby, who do you think will win?" Jamie, currently doing dissertation to free up rugby watching time tomorrow, via text on 81111 Not sure. Not a lot between them at the moment but Justin Morgan seems to be able to raise his players for games such as these. By the way, I'm not sure Leeds and Bradford fans or Cas and Wakey fans or Saints and Wigan fans or, indeed, Quins and Catalans fans would agree the Hull derby is the only one that matters. Oh - and I am a real Paul. A real Paul Fletcher in fact. Just ask my parents. I'm just not THE Paul Fletcher. 1625: TRY Huddersfield 28-30 Warrington The Giants force their way back into the contest after a mistake from Adrian Morley at the play-the-ball. John Skandalis crosses for Huddersfield and Luke Robinson converts. 1623: Huddersfield haven't conceded for all of five minutes. In fact, they are on the attack and trying some Hollywood off-loads to force their way back into the match. 1622: "The only reason we aren't producing is because we have a clueless manager who's tactically naive. A little similar to Ronald Koeman at Valencia, only Paul Cullen at Warrington." WeAllDreamOfATeamOfCarraghers on 606
A comparison I never thought I would see. Does Koeman inspire remarkable comebacks as well? In fact, does Koeman like rugby league? It would be great if he was a closet fan. 1617: TRY Huddersfield 22-30 Warrington Another one for the video ref. It follows an error by full-back Jensen, who is having a horror story of a second half, and leads to another try for Andrew Bracek. Warrington are running away with this now. Chris Hicks converts, he is now five from five. 1616: "No celebrations from Lee Briers when Warrington scored, just a very business-like look of "C'mon guys, we're not there yet, we can celebrate later." But the Wolves fans around us certainly sound a lot happier than they did at half-time." BBC Sport's Julian Shea in Cardiff 1612: TRY Huddersfield 22-24 Warrington It is all Warrington now - and how. Lee Briers kicks and collects and then slips the ball out for Andrew Bracek to score. Chris Hicks converts. 1611: Adrian Morley is back on the field. 1610 TRY Huddersfield 22-18 Warrington Another one for the video referee. Warrington have lifted their game and Lee Briers scores. The conversion is added by Chris Hicks and this is anyone's game. 1608: TRY Huddersfield 22-12 Warrington Warrington on the attack. Stuart Reardon claims he has got the ball down under pressure from several Huddersfield players and the decision is referred upstairs. Verdict - try. It looked for all the world like a double movement by Reardon. Millennium Magic? Millennium madness more like. Chris Hicks converts. 1602: Another superb break from Rod Jensen. It should have been try time as he had plenty of numbers in support but the ball goes to ground. 1601: Chris Hicks is taken, man and ball, and dragged into touch by several committed Giants defenders. 1600: Matt King, Adrian Morley, Lee Briers, Martin/Mark Gleeson, Stuart Reardon, Vinnie Anderson, Paul Johnson and Louis Anderson to name but a few. There is no shortage of quality at Warrington. So why aren't they producing? 1557: The second half starts in Cardiff as the Wolves look to repair the damage of the opening 40 minutes. 1554: "Rumours doing the rounds that Millennium Magic could be heading for a new venue next year. Edinburgh looks a possibility. Does that mean the RFL will have to come up with another name for the two-day extravaganza?" BBC Sport's Phil Gordos in Cardiff 1550: "As I sit here just looking at the score, it just makes me feel sick. Warrington getting beat again. How much more do we have to take before this idiot Paul Cullen gets the boot?" b3ddard on 606
I'd have to say there is quite a lot of chat on 606 about the future of the aforementioned coach Cullen. Skating on thin ice, you might say. 1548: "Are you Paul Fletcher of ex-Hull KR fame? Can we have a mention of the 11-year anniversary of the only ever Plate Final at Wembley?" Anonymous via text on 81111 No and yes, if you see what I mean, the second part being contained in your own message. 1544: Half-time Huddersfield 22-6 Warrington Warrington scored first - and then it was all Huddersfield. Can the Wolves force their way back into the contest? 1542: TRY Huddersfield 22-6 Warrington The Giants underline their first-half dominance with another try. Rod Jensen passes to Shane Elford, who breaks down the left. Elford switches the ball back to Jensen, who crosses. Tom Hemingway adds the extras. 1538: After listening to Bucks Fizz's Making Your Mind Up for far too long we learn that the try has not been awarded with Warrington's Kevin Penny adjudged to have grounded the ball first. 1537: Up to video referee Ashley Klein after Eorl Crabtree crashes over. 1534: "Some players are slipping over a lot. Seems the lessons of last year haven't been learned. I've been told a longer stud is essential if a player is going stay on his feet on the Millennium Stadium turf." BBC Sport's Phil Gordos in Cardiff 1531: TRY Huddersfield 16-6 Warrington Andy Raleigh crosses after great work from Luke Robinson and Kevin Brown. The extras are added from straight in front by Tom Hemingway. The pressure is really mounting on the Wolves - and boss Cullen. 1528: "I cannot believe the Giants are actually winning a Super League game! Don't get too excited though, it'll finish 10-50." Real Giant Terrier on 606
Easy tiger, sorry Terrier. Warrington are hardly in top form at the moment - and Huddersfield have just forced another drop-out. 1526: Warrington have lost their last four Super League fixtures and look distinctly average at the moment. Does Paul Cullen have any answers? 1522: A feature of the weekend so far is players falling over. Longer studs needed lads? 1521: The Giants, continuing to show great enthusiasm, force a drop-out. 1519: The Giants are working really hard in defence but give away a needless penalty with Warrington stuck in their own 20. 1515: TRY Huddersfield 10-6 Warrington Luke Robinson edges the Giants ahead after a superb kick from dummy half by Ryan Hudson. Was Robinson onside? According to referee Thaler he was. Robinson's conversion attempt rebounds off the uprights. 1514: Huddersfield looking strong in defence, forcing Warrington to kick from within their own half. 1509: TRY Huddersfield 6-6 Warrington Adrian Morley gives the ball away and is punished when Huddersfield sweep forward and score through Michael Lawrence. Luke Robinson then levels the scores. 1507: TRY Huddersfield 0-6 Warrington Michael Monaghan crosses for the opening try of the weekend, with Chris Hicks adding the extras. First blood to the Wolves. 1505: "A decent crowd is in for the first of the games. There is plenty of noise coming from both sets of fans." BBC Sport's Phil Gordos in Cardiff 1503: Both teams get through their first sets. Giants enjoying the best of the field position so far. 1500: The players are coming out to the tune of Montagues and Capulets from the ballet Romeo and Juliet by Prokofiev. Not sure how much Lee Briers knows about ballet but he has just kicked the game off in Cardiff. 1455: Kick-off is just about upon us as the Wolves take on the Giants. 1442: The teams for the first match are in. Here they are: Huddersfield: Jensen, Aspinwall, Lawrence, Whaturia, Elford, Brown, Robinson, Griffin, Hudson, Skandalis, Snitch, Raleigh, Lolesi. Replacements: Crabtree, Jackson, Mason, Hemingway. Warrington: Reardon, Hicks, Martin Gleeson, King, Penny, Briers, Monaghan, Morley, Mark Gleeson, Rauhihi, L. Anderson, Westwood, Harrison. Replacements: Parker, Johnson, Riley, Bracek. 1437: "Wish I was in Cardiff! I've heard from family that are there and they've said the atmosphere down there is great. "Cannot wait for the Bradford v Leeds match, I'll be watching it with with the rest of my family in the comfort of my own living room." trebull_2003 on 606
1430: "Starting to rain in Cardiff but the roof is on at the Millennium Stadium so the atmosphere will be locked in. Out on the streets, there is plenty of colour as fans of all clubs mingle and enjoy some pre-match banter. I've just come across a group of youthful Warrington fans doing their best to wind up anyone and everyone." BBC Sport's Phil Gordos in Cardiff 1425: I'd love to hear from anyone in Cardiff at the moment or people who were there last year for the MM weekend. What do/did you think of it? 1405: If anyone wants to watch all of the tries from MM at once then the Super League Show could well be the one for you. With it being a Bank Holiday weekend the show is on a day later than normal. In the north of England it will be on at 1130 BST on Monday 5 May. The show will be repeated nationally on Tuesday 6 May at 0100 BST. 1400 BST: So here it is - Millennium Magic, year two. Six fixtures, two days, one city. I should be in advertising. BBC journalists Phil Gordos and Julian Shea are in Cardiff for us and they will be feeding into the clockwatch with prime snippets of information/gossip from behind the scenes and, all being well, plenty of photos. Huddersfield versus Warrington gets us under way at 1500 BST - and by my reckoning both of these teams could do with a win. The Giants have had a tricky old season so far, while Warrington continue to be Super League's great enigma. Tipped for big things at the start of every campaign - but how often do they deliver?
