Craig Hall had a last-minute try ruled out as Hull earned a thrilling draw with the Catalans Dragons.

Danny Tickle opened the scoring, with Thomas Bosc, Scott Wheeldon and Vincent Duport following him over as neither team imposed themselves on the game.

When Gregory Mounis and Dimitri Pelo put the Dragons ahead, Danny Washbrook scored to keep Hull in the game.

Bosc kicked the Dragons in front before Tommy Lee set up Gareth Raynor to score and Hall came close to snatching a win.

"I feel we dropped a point. At the end of the game we worked ourselves into a good position to get a field goal and salvage a win, but we didn't take it.

"We shouldn't have even been in that position and I'm disappointed in a couple of our players. Considering some of the players Hull had out and the young guys they had on the field, we should have capitalised.

"I don't think the fans got the best out of Catalans tonight and they should go away as disappointed as I am."

"I think we have possibly turned a corner. I keep saying this, but I know once we get our personnel all back on the training field we will be a very good football team.

"We are still having the worst luck ever, but the boys showed their character in the face of plenty of adversity to come back.

"It was a tremendous effort to get a point because at one stage when we were eight points down I looked across the field and our guys looked like an under-16 team.

"They got their heads down and battled back and that sort of effort needs to be praised."
