York City Knights assistant coach James Ratcliffe was furious at the poor second-half display on Sunday which saw them go out of the Northern Rail Cup. The Knights threw away a 10-0 half-time lead to end up 26-18 down at Gateshead.
"Some of the performances in that second half were absolutely woeful and there'll be consequences of that this week," said Ratcliffe.
The Knights players who survive the coach's wrath will go on to face Batley in Wednesday's rearranged game.
Ratcliffe was not even impressed with his side when they went 10-0 up.
"I thought Gateshead had played very poorly to be honest," he said.
"We can't come up with the errors that we've come up with today, missed tackles, poor kick finishes, selfish kick finishes, a lot of things we're trying to eradicate from York.

Ratcliffe hinted at team changes for their penultimate Northern Rail Cup tie at Batley, which the Knights can now only play in for pride.
"We're looking at these [experienced] players to lead the team around the park and they're coming up short.
"I'm absolutely furious with the performance they came up with," he added.
