New Castleford signing Michael Korkidas is a strong runner |
Newly-promoted Castleford have made Australian prop Michael Korkidas their first signing. He has agreed a two-year deal with the Tigers who clinched their return to Super League earlier this month.
Korkidas was in the Wakefield team that condemned Castleford to relegation 12 months ago before he joined Salford.
But the 26-year old, who has also played for Sydney Roosters in the National Rugby League, became a free agent when the Reds were relegated.
"It's great to have Michael on board," said Castleford chief executive Richard Wright.
"He is very experienced and he always seems to have been a difficult player to deal with when he has been in the opposition ranks."
