Warrington's play-off hopes were lifted as they scored seven tries on their way to victory at Huddersfield. A Stuart Reardon try and two by Chris Bridge ensured they led 20-6 at the break after Robbie Paul scored first.
Kevin Penny added to his reputation with another try before Brad Drew burrowed over for the Giants.
Michael Sullivan's try and a second for Bridge restored Warrington's lead. Ryan Hudson (2) and Shane Elford gave the Giants hope but Penny's try sealed it.
Huddersfield coach Jon Sharp: "The number of points we're conceding is really disappointing but offensively we're putting pressure on ourselves by not completing our sets.
"We're spending too much time defending and ultimately you have to pay the price for that, particularly against a Warrington team who were hungry, sharp and really up for it."
Warrington coach Paul Cullen: "This is just one more step.
"We generally haven't spent too much time looking downwards and backwards.
"We're looking forward at the top six and that's where our intentions lie."
