Celtic Crusaders moved to within a point of second-placed Barrow in the Co-operative National League Two after withstanding York City's fightback. Crusaders opened up a 16-0 lead at Bridgend with tries from Damien Quinn, Tony Duggan and Anthony Blackwood.
The Knights cut the deficit to 16-12 early in the second half, but Duggan hit back quickly to give the home side some breathing space.
Blackwood and Paul Ballard then crossed either side of York's third try.
Crusaders coach John Dixon said: "I thought we were pretty much in control from the outset.
"We've secured a good win here and once again prevented our opposition from securing a bonus point, so it was a pretty good result for us."
