Widnes Vikings have begun rebuilding for the 2007 National League One season by signing six players. Top of the list are experienced centre Toa Kohe Love, who was released by Warrington Wolves last week, and Castleford Tigers scrum-half Andy Kain.
The Vikings, runners-up to Hull KR in last Sunday's League One Grand Final, have also signed Leigh's Dean Gaskell and Rochdale's Lee Doran.
Completing the signings are Scott Grix and former Leeds centre Andy Kirk.
Gaskell, a 23-year-old winger, made his Super League debut at the age of 18 with Warrington and made a total of 59 top-flight appearances before moving to Leigh.
Full-back Grix played with home town club Halifax before joining brother Simon at Warrington and was one of Leigh's leading players this season.
Kirk began his career at Leeds and also played in Super League for Salford and Wakefield before joining Halifax, where he scored 12 tries in 26 appearances this year.
