Dewsbury led 18-0 at the interval with four tries from Alex Bretherton, Chris Hall, Warren Jowitt and Danny Maun.
Further tries followed early in the second half from Bryn Powell, Kevin Crouthers, Jowitt and Hall.
The Crusaders finally got on the board when Hywel Davies crossed, but the Rams had the last say when Richard Chapman scored their ninth try on 70 minutes.
Crusaders coach John Dixon said:
"We were outplayed in every aspect of the game today - Dewsbury were outstanding. "A few of our players were a bit sore coming into the game but that's part and parcel of rugby league.
"We thought we had 17 players that could do the job but we were outplayed and that's all there is too it."
