New Zealand have reappointed Brian McClennan as their head coach following last year's stunning Tri-Nations win. There had been concerns McClennan might leave the post after only signing an initial one-year contract last June.
But the 43-year-old has penned a new three-year deal meaning he will lead the side into the 2008 World Cup.
"I'm really happy to be coaching the Kiwis again," said McClennan, who were crowned Tri-Nations champions thanks to a shock 24-0 victory over Australia.
McClennan succeeded Daniel Anderson last June when the latter joined St Helens.
McClennan's next assignment will be the Anzac Test against Australia in Brisbane on 5 May.
