Noble's contract runs until the end of this year |
Brian Noble says he plans to stay on as the Great Britain coach for the foreseeable future and would like to coach England at the 2008 World Cup.
Noble took over Super League strugglers Wigan last month and had hinted he might stand down as GB coach after this autumn's Tri-Nations series.
"I am out of contract at the end of the year but I am as committed to Great Britain as I have ever been," he said.
"I'd like to do it for another 10 years. It's a great job and I love it."
Noble reaffirmed his commitment to Wigan but said he saw no reason why he could not combine the role with the international job.
"I'm very committed to the club thing," he said.
"After six years now non-stop, at the end of next year I don't think there is a massive international schedule.
"I'd like to coach England in 2008, there is no doubt about that. I don't know what more commitment people will want."
Noble was speaking at Edge Hill University on Merseyside where he has gathered his 36-man GB squad for the first of two training days ahead of a one-off Test against New Zealand at Knowsley Road on 27 June.
Australia-based duo, Newcastle Knights' Brian Carney and Adrian Morley of the Sydney Roosters, are missing the session but Noble confirmed both will be available for the match.
"We have approached both Newcastle and the Roosters and I have had a phone call from both players expressing a desire to play in this game," he said.
