Scott Donald marked his Leeds debut with a try
Leeds ran in eight tries to comfortably see off Yorkshire rivals Wakefield in their friendly at Headingley.

Youngsters Ashley Gibson and Jordan Tansey both crossed twice while Scott Donald, Mark O'Neill, Nathan McAvoy and Shane Millard all made their debuts.

Leeds were given a scare when Wakefield hooker David March went over for an early try.

But once Danny McGuire combined with Willie Poching to send Ryan Bailey over for a try, the Rhinos took control.

The afternoon's biggest cheer came for O'Neill - captain of Australia's NRL champions Wests Tigers in 2005 - when he made his introduction from the bench midway through the first half.

He lasted only four minutes but produced two huge tackles and created enough space to allow Donald to go down the right flank and send centre Gibson clear for one of his tries.

Donald then squeezed over in the corner for his first touchdown on English soil in the first half, while McAvoy also marked his first appearance for the Rhinos with a try.
