McGuire touches down in the World Club Challenge win over Canterbury |
Leeds half-back Danny McGuire says he would love to test himself in Australia but says he has no plans to leave the Super League champions just yet. The 22-year-old is one of the hottest talents in the game and has been tipped to make a big impact in NRL.
But the Great Britain international says he is loving life with the Rhinos.
"It's there in the back of my mind to have a crack at the NRL, but my future is well and truly at Leeds at the minute," he told BBC Sport.
McGuire also insists scoring another truck-load of tries is not at the top of his list of priorities when the new Super League season starts on Friday.
He touched down 39 times in 2004 and got his 2005 tally up and running in Friday's World Club Challenge.
But he said: "I'm not setting any targets for tries.
"I'm just hopeful I can play consistently well week-in, week-out and Leeds can have another good season."
