Tigers to fight on in wages war
Motu Tony
Tony will play for Hull in 2005
Castleford are considering legal action after being ordered to pay Motu Tony and Paul Mellor two months' wages.

The former Tigers players had their contracts terminated in September after the club's demotion from Super League.

But they successfully argued that they should have been paid up until 27 November, which is the Rugby Football League's official season-ending date.

Tigers chief executive Richard Wright claimed the RFL's tribunal was "flawed" and insisted the dispute was not over.

He added: "We intend to discuss the matter with our legal advisors to decide a course of action.

"Clubs have to be allowed to take steps to protect themselves in case their businesses suffer a major setback such as relegation."

New Zealand international Tony has signed for Hull next season while Mellor has agreed to join NRL side Cronulla.
