Great Britain captain Andy Farrell has welcomed the decision to hand the Lions coaching job to Brian Noble. "It's a very good appointment and a very popular one amongst the players, I'm sure," said Farrell.
"Brian's a very popular person and a very good coach. You just have to look at his track record for Bradford.
"He's up front with the players, he listens to the players and makes his own decisions, and he is very well respected by the players."
Farrell added: "Along with that, he's a very enjoyable person to be around. He's got the full respect of everybody.
"Not only that, his enthusiasm for winning is tremendous and that rubs off on everybody."
