Australia coach Chris Anderson has slammed the decision not to ban Great Britain's Adrian Morley following his 12-second dismissal in the first Ashes Test. Morley was fined �2,000 at a disciplinary hearing on Monday after being shown the red card for his high tackle on Robbie Kearns.
But Anderson felt the Sydney Roosters forward was guilty of a "cheap shot" and deserved a suspension.
"It's disappointing for the game," said Anderson. "I'm an Adrian Morley fan. I think he's a great player. But I think what happened was unnecessary and if you do the deed you should pay the penalty.

"I thought the game had gone past this. It's 10 years since we have seen that sort of football back home and the players that used to do that are out of the game.
"I don't think Adrian Morley is a cheap shot man but that was a cheap shot and the hooker (Terry Newton) came up with a couple of cheap shots."
Morley is free to play in the second match of the Think! Road Safety Test series at Hull's KC Stadium on Saturday.
