The kick-off for the match is put back to 1830 GMT following traffic delays on approach to the stadium.
Hull's Richard Horne is given the chance by coach David Waite to make a name for himself after being included the in the 13-man starting line-up.
The 21-year-old, who will start on the left wing, is one of the few players in the 13 with little experience.
Sydney Roosters' Adrian Morley, Stuart Fielden and Jamie Peacock will be seeking to provide good support for half-backs Sean Long, who missed the 2001 series, and Paul Sculthorpe.
For Australia, Craig Wing is picked at centre in place of Ryan Girdler, whose his calf injury flared up again in the 76-4 win over Wales.
Apart from that Chris Anderson's Wallabies are at full-strength.
