Knockout comeback for Morley
Adrian Morley in action for Sydney Roosters
Morley had to leave the field twice on his comeback
Adrian Morley was knocked out twice on his NRL comeback, but still finished on the winning side as his Sydney Roosters ran out 24-20 victors over St George Illawarra.

Halves Brad Fittler and Justin Holbrook were instrumental in the Roosters' Anzac Day win.

But Sydney almost surrendered a 24-8 lead with 20 minutes remaining, concededing late tries to Nathan Tutt and Willie Peters to set up a thrilling final five minutes.

Afterwards, Morley told BBC Sport Online he was sketchy on the details of the game.

Although we won, I didn't know much about it

"It was great to be back but I got a bang on the head after 20 minutes and don't remember too much after that."

Morley did come back to start the second half but then got hit by a high tackle and had to sit out the rest of the match.

"Although we won, I didn't know much about it," he said.

The former Leeds Rhino, who suffered no recurrence of the rib injury that had put him out of action for two games, does not expect to miss any more action after his tough return.

And Morley is optimistic about the Roosters prospects for the rest of the NRL season.

"We are still off the pace a bit. But now that we are getting players back from injury and should hit form and get back to the top of the table, where we belong."
